About the role:

Living on the world’s driest inhabited continent we need to collectively preserve, restore and protect water. As a Water Corporation Education Officer you’ll get to apply your teaching skills through delivering multi-sensory experiences, that empower Western Australian students to take action on sustaining our environment and ensuring our water future.

What the role will involve:

• Delivering a range of incursions and excursions on water education to students from Pre-Primary to Year 12, at schools and via webinars
• Preparing high quality, engaging and curriculum-aligned water education materials and resources to supplement our Waterwise School Program
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders across Western Australia to leverage existing education initiatives and programs.
• Assisting with events and providing educational tours of metropolitan Water Corporation facilities when required

Key skills and experience:

• Relevant experience conducting incursions, excursions or teaching students in a primary or high school setting
• Applicable experience preparing education materials for primary or high school age children
• Awareness of the Western Australian and Australian curriculums is desirable
• Up to date knowledge on best practice in classroom pedagogy for use in the design and delivery of the Waterwise Schools Program
• A dynamic, motivated and creative educator with excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills
• Possession of a Working with Children’s Clearance
• Current ‘C’ class Drivers Licence
• Experience working with diverse cultural groups
