The Opportunity
Washington County is now seeking an innovative Talent Acquisition Manager to join our Human Resources team. This position strategically enhances the talent acquisition functions within Washington County, ensuring effective recruitment, screening, and hiring of a qualified and diverse workforce. The Talent Acquisition Manager is charged with three key responsibilities: to create an outstanding candidate experience, develop, inspire, and guide the Talent Acquisition Team, and to design a talent acquisition strategy that promotes equity, diversity, inclusion, and best practices to deliver the right talent to shape the future of Washington County. This role will be a partner and a change management leader to department hiring teams and the Human Resources department. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical in this position.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule including 2-3 days/ week remote work.

A successful candidate will be a supportive and empathetic individual who leads with emotional intelligence and prioritizes cross-department collaboration. They will motivate the Talent Acquisition Team to function independently, are comfortable leading a team in a hybrid work environment, and are willing to provide support and guidance when needed. Also key, is the ability to think strategically, and understand when flexibility is appropriate. This role will greatly benefit from a candidate that possesses an understanding of Oregon employment law, including the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Extensive full cycle recruiting experience is essential, ideally in the public sector.
