What You’ll Do

As our Accounting Manager, you’ll have a direct impact on the day-to-day operations of our entire bookkeeping team. This role is critical to the success of our organization, as you’ll be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders. Advanced accounting knowledge, technology savviness and experience working with small businesses are a necessity. True success comes from a successful team. Experience working with a team in a modern office is required.

In addition to the above, you’ll also:

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of staff accountants. This includes providing in-service training on technical advances in accounting.

• Hire and onboard new team members, ensuring their successful transition to the company

• Provide technical and social support to the team while developing each staff member to their full potential and efficiency, tech savviness is key!

• Being empowered to own the client journey, the customer experience is key for our team. This includes supporting the onboarding of new clients, researching and continuing education in all areas of accounting and technology used internally and by clients.

• Analyze and manage client profitability

• Perform bookkeeping services as needed for multiple complex clients or clients in transition.

• Co-lead staff meetings and training.

• Support other areas of the company such as Sales, HR and Admin as needed to continue to develop infrastructures of the company.

Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Accounting or Accounting related fields

• CPA license preferred

• 5 years of accounting and management experience

• QuickBooks Certified along with experience in other cloud accounting apps (like Clickup and Close.io), preferred

• Must be local to D.C. Metropolitan Area or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance may be offered to ideal candidates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
