WWAARC has a Full-Time 40-hour Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) position available. Typical work week is Monday – Friday during business hours 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Working hours outside of 8:00 am – 4:30 pm is required to be a successful recruiter. This is an exempt salaried position. Limited remote work is available as approved by supervisor. The TAS has autonomy to make own schedule to ensure best customer service at both locations (Queensbury/Slingerlands). For efficient workflow it is preferable to work full days in either location. Travel for recruiting events is required. Agency vehicle available for work related travel. Travel between the two Administrative Offices is required – but does not need to be within one day.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist must be personable, enthusiastic, approachable, and engaging. TAS is responsible for full cycle applicant to employee experience, and internal transfers. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for, but not limited to recruitment, postings, advertisement, marketing, interviews, coordinating/attending hiring events, strategic planning, and employee engagement. Talent Acquisition Specialist will participate in daily operation systems and administrative HR related duties. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is required to deliver exceptional people operations, at all levels, within the agency. The TAS will supervise the Recruiting Assistant.
Want to be a WWAARC Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) and join our Team? An associate degree is required. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred. HRCI – aPHR/PHR/SPHR, SHRM-SCP/CP or SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credentials are strongly preferred. One-two years prior experience in Human Resources required. Management, Sales, Marketing, Public Relations experience will be considered as related fields and can be evaluated as related experience. Experience with HRIS/ATS systems is required. Ability to forecast industry trends, anticipating movements in the market, and advise leadership accordingly. Strong understanding of Employment Laws, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and their impact on recruitment, on-boarding and employee engagement. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills are required. A valid Driver’s License and WWAARC insurability is required.
