Position Title: Recruiting Specialist (Online and Graduate Education)

Department: Admissions Office

Position Summary: The Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for recruiting students for the undergraduate and graduate online programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Travel to recruit students for undergraduate and graduate online programs. *

• Aggressively generate leads by developing corporate contacts with the area businesses, para‐church organizations and churches. *

• Track incoming applicant paperwork for each scheduled session start; update, maintain, and provide reporting from the database and other systems and software used by the Admissions office. Follow up with prospective students throughout the enrollment process via various forms of communication (i.e. face to face, telephone, electronic, and mailings). *

• Schedule and conduct information sessions to generate additional leads. *

• Set up displays and be available at job fairs, community colleges, churches, conferences, etc. Work closely with other departments within Warner University, having input and direction with design, ordering, and inventory of various adult and online education promotional materials. *

• Participation in appropriate professional development workshops and seminars as determined by the Director of Admissions. *

• Other responsibilities and functions as requested by the supervisor and or senior leadership team. *

Qualifications:

• Recruiting experience particularly geared towards adult and online higher education programming. Education/Training – A Bachelor’s degree is preferred while some college education is required. Computer Skills – Developed ability in Microsoft Office and database software. Knowledge of Slate is helpful, but not necessary. *

• Self Driven – Must display the ability to be a self-driven, results oriented team player working independently with minimal supervision. *

• Effective Communication Skills both written and verbal; telephone and interpersonal. People Skills – A positive attitude; high level of energy and enthusiasm is required. A pleasant and helpful demeanor will assist in the favorable development of relationships. *

• Judgment – Excellent critical-thinking skills, sound decision making, prioritization skills, and prompt follow up are key elements. *

• Leadership – A display of outstanding leadership and time management skills. *

• Supportive of Warner’s mission, vision and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character in keeping with biblical models. *

• Ability to pass a background check. *

Working Relationships: This role is a member of the admissions team and reports to the Director of Admissions. Work Schedule: Mon-Fri; Additional hours as needed for significant department or university events.
