PURPOSE OF POSITION
Full time, tenure-eligible faculty member to teach in the Division of Education Graduate Education Master of Arts in Education (MAED) and other graduate tracks appropriate to teaching/administrative background and professional development for professional educators
PRIMARY DUTIES
Teach full time in Division of Educations Graduate Education programs, including MAED, Teacher Leader Endorsement and Principal Licensure, or other graduate level tracks as appropriate with an emphasis on educational leadership
Supervise principal interns;
Develop curriculum for additional graduate level offerings and professional development;
Complete Walsh University e-Learning training and participate in development, implementation and refreshment of online coursework modules or classes;
Advise Graduate Education candidates;
Participate in divisional graduate program assessment and accreditation work;
Attend and participate in the Division of Education meetings and subcommittee meetings as appropriate;
Collaborate with graduate and undergraduate faculty in Division of Education and across university disciplines for scholarship, grant, and professional development opportunities
Provide service to profession, community partners, and university;
Develop and implement a Scholarship Plan according to guidelines for Graduate Faculty.
EDUCATION
Doctorate/Terminal Degree in Education
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years in K-12 teaching and administration/supervision at school and/or district level, with preferred graduate level higher education teaching experience in educational leadership
BACKGROUND: K-12 teaching and administrative/supervisory experience, with license/certification in the field in administration or related specialization; graduate level teaching and scholarship in educator preparation higher education programs with online delivery preferred. Additional areas of K-12 and higher education expertise preferred.
