Wally’s Wine & Spirits, LLC is looking for an experienced, motivated, hardworking Spirits Buyer to join its team. This is a full time, not a remote position.

The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of spirits, as well as the ability to quickly recall and share complex information about diverse types of Spirits, tasting notes, and food pairings. Their main responsibility is to promote Spirits category sales through staff and customer education, and by:

Ordering Spirits for all retail and restaurant locations

Identifying new products and trends in the Spirits category

Maintaining inventory levels for the Spirits category in the warehouse and retail and restaurant locations

Working with Bar Managers on Spirits category products for Bars and Cocktail Programs

Recommending Spirits based on customer preferences

Training waitstaff and bar team on Spirits category

Conducting brand tastings for staff and customers

Ability to prioritize responsibilities, multi-task, and manage time efficiently

Genuine passion for hospitality with the desire to grow professionally

Guest focused approach to management

Punctuality

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed.

Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years alcohol operations experience in fine dining and/or retail with an extensive knowledge of Spirits

Minimum 2 Years Alcohol Buying Experience

Ability to work in a high pressure, demanding environment

Excellent product knowledge

Excellent knowledge of computer applications and POS system

Open flexibility – requires weekend and evening work schedule

Mixology / cocktail experience is an advantage
