JOB SPECIFICATION: Business Development Manager / Director, Sales Manager – Industrial Consumables, Parts, Components and Equipment MRO Supply Chain Solutions to Construction, Industrial, Manufacturing, Engineering, Infrastructure Markets and Contractors

· This is a Senior Business Development Manager role in which you will be responsible for winning big ticket, £500k+, MRO , JIT (Just in Time), Managed Inventory, Materials Management, Value Added solutions contracts.
· You will be strategically targeting  a very wide range of construction, industrial, manufacturing, engineering end users and infrastructure markets and associated Tier 1 and 2, Top 50 contractors including main contractors, civils, electrical and M & E.
· You will be dealing at senior level with customers including Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations and Facilities Manager and Directors
· You will be working closely with the company’s existing team of Business Development Managers to help them develop MRO business with their customers, with a dotted line management responsibility for them.
· The company has an extensive database to work from, but you will also be using your own market knowledge and research new markets and generate your own leads.
· Ideally you will be looking to knock a competitor out of the potential customer by providing a supply chain solution for their component and consumable needs.
· My client has a network of branch locations reporting with whom you will work and liaise closely with.

To be considered for this challenging, but potentially rewarding one in terms of earnings and career potential role you will have:
· Experience of, and success in, a similar senior new business development or sales role selling big ticket MRO, supply chain or possibly some other industrial logistics/ supply chain solutions to construction, industrial, manufacturing, engineering or infrastructure markets and associated Tier 1 and 2, Top 50 main civil, electrical and M & E contractors at a senior level.
· Management experience or the potential and drive to step into a senior management or Director level role.
