Lead Piping Engineer

Fantastic opportunity for a Lead Piping Engineer working for a developing multi-asset, world-class, integrated mining/chemical business, with projects over USD 1Bn in value.

Location for the position is flexible for the time being but you will ultimately be required to reside close to Charlotte, NC or Knoxville, TN.

Job Description

• Oversees contractor’s design of piping and valve specifications, 2D drawing /3D model development, material specifications, line lists, valve selection, valve lists, insulation standards, coating requirements, pipe / valve sizing, stress analysis
• Develop scope of work documents, piping / valve bid tabulations, material takeoffs (MTO), Bill of Materials (BOM), piping / valve design documents, and specifications.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant piping experience in chemical processing plants, manufacturing, mining operations, or other large industrial facilities
• Experience working on a greenfield project would be advantageous
• Experience working on slurry system designs
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering field
