The Finance Analyst is a key role within the Finance department, taking responsibility in areas of both performance analysis and reporting.

This position reports to the Finance Manager and involves close interaction with several other departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Calculation, analysis and control of product costs.
• Support the periodic update of standard cost and transfer prices.
• Variance analysis of key cost drivers (material, labour and overhead).
• Sales margin analysis and investigation.
• Inventory analysis and monitoring cycle count accuracy.
• Slow moving and obsolete inventory analysis.
• Support the definition, collection and management of KPI.
• Provision of month-end reporting to Group and SMT.
• Liaise with cost centre managers to aid financial understanding and control.
• Provide support for new projects.
• Preparation of government statistical submissions.
• Assist the year-end audit process including liaising with auditors as necessary.
• Continuous advancement of finance processes.
• Provide ad hoc support and reporting to the finance team as required.
• Build key cross functional relationships to drive efficiencies and performance.

PERSONAL COMPETENCES AND EDUCATION

Experience and skills

• Qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA with experience of cost accounting from within a manufacturing environment.
• Sound knowledge of ERP systems.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience of Business Warehouse and BI tools.
