Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.*Provides information to students, clarifies initial education goals and facilitates students access to financial aid funding*Informs students of available financial aid programs and services and responds to in person, electronic and telephone inquiries regarding financial aid, eligible financial aid academic programs, registration and general information *Reviews financial aid application and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracyParticipates in college-wide and service area activities and events that promote the growth of the CollegeAssists Financial Aid Specialists as neededPrepare incoming files for distribution to appropriate counselorsCompletes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and ExcelKnowledge of federal and state financial aid programsBe innovative, creative, and motivatedExhibit good interpersonal skills and work well with othersAble to maintain records accurately and be able to meet deadlines consistentlyGood organizational skillsAble to perform normal duties with minimal supervisionExcellent communication skills both written and verbalRequirements: High school diploma or equivalentOne year of closely related office experiencePreferences: Some college courseworkExperience with community college policies and proceduresEssential Personnel: TBD
