Wag Walking Hiring for Email Designer, Contractor at San Francisco, CA Full Time

We are currently looking for a creative graphic designer with experience designing for email.

You will be working closely with our marketing team to design campaigns, templates, and other graphic materials for email and in-app messages. It will be your job to follow provided creative briefs and brand style guides to create compelling emails.

You may also be working on additional projects for other teams including product and social media. You’ll have an opportunity to play with new design styles, try different visual approaches, and constantly think outside the box.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design marketing emails and assets including GIFs and icons
• Create and edit image assets for emails including slicing and resizing
• Design in-app messages and other graphic assets as needed
• Organize and coordinate digital resources and assets required for email marketing campaigns
• Continually optimize design, imagery, and CTA’s to add value to every email
• Research up-to-date and emerging technologies and developments in the design field and implement them when appropriate
• Successfully manage a personal task list in order to complete projects on time
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma or similar
• Experience creating animations for email using images, video or other design elements
• Detail oriented with a great eye for design—you can follow brand guides, creative briefs, etc.
• Ability to prioritize your workload to accommodate projects that need a quick turn-around
• Open to feedback and critique—you should be curious and excited to improve
• Comfortable interfacing with teams on Zoom meetings, presenting designs and taking live feedback during meetings

Nice to Have (but not required)

• Understanding of dark mode and how to adjust email designs accordingly
• Knowledgeable and up to date on current email design best practices
• Experience working as a digital or graphic designer at an agency or in-house for a direct to consumer brand
• Experience with creating social media assets
• Experience with video editing to create short GIFs
