Our office is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to ensure that our patients receive quality dental care. The Hygienist will be responsible for creating and maintaining dental records, and must have a strong work ethic and experience in dentistry. Furthermore, the Hygienist will help to educate patients about proper dental care, perform basic dental procedures such as cleaning or fluoride treatments and assist the dentist during surgical procedures when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Take x-rays.
- Adjust dental instruments to provide a clear view of the patient’s teeth and gums.
- Polish teeth to remove surface stains and buildup.
- Floss between teeth.
- Examine tooth decay by applying fluorescent dye, taking another x-ray, and interpreting it.
- Assess a patient’s overall oral health and perform preventive care measures such as fluoride treatments.
- Give advice to patients on improved dental health and overall health of their gums and teeth.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour
