Job Responsibilities:

· Responsible for all accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, cash management, and month end close

· Administer payroll and co-administer HR with the outsourced PEO

· Prepare and file all local, state and federal tax returns, either directly or coordinating with external accounting firm; including set up and closure in required states

· Manage outsourced accounting firm and internal accounting staff as the team grows

· Participate on a cross functional team that encompasses all of the backend operations of a start up business, including sales, support and manufacturing

· Using automation, business tools, and new processes, position the company to scale with growth

– Ensure adequate controls are in place to safeguard financial assets

· Coordinate annual audit

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with an accounting emphasis, or a comparable combination of formal education and experience

· 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preference given to start up company and manufacturer experience

· Expert knowledge of Quickbooks Online

· Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel

· Ability to work independently and within a team

· Capability to adapt to changing priorities

· Desire and ability to proactively improve processes

· Ability to communicate complex ideas and issues in a positive and professional manner

· Strong ethical standards

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
