About the role

This role is responsible for building out a large suite of organisational-wide reporting dashboards to assist the client in key day-to-day decision-making across a number of departments, including but not limited to Finance, Supply Chain and HR.

As the Data Analyst in the team you will be comfortable working with large data sets from multiple data sources as well as working with senior team members to understand their reporting requirements and the specific data sources, tables, fields and calculations required to build dashboards.

You will have excellent communication skills and ideally have a background working with Finance and ERP systems. You will also have advanced SQL skills and demonstrated experience using PowerQuery and PowerBI to translate client requirements into deliverables such as dashboards and pre-defined ERP load sheets.

The role is very much a consultative one where you will regularly interface with functional and technical teams and be the point of contact for organizational-wide analytics and reporting requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Establish and develop productive relationships with clients in order to understand their particular objectives, environment and challenges.
• Conduct requirements gathering and scoping around client reporting / dashboarding needs
• Develop custom SQL queries and data tables in line with client reporting requirements to inform dashboard development
• Develop custom PowerBI queries and dashboards
• Maintain daily refresh of SQL data pipelines to ensure data accuracy

• Effectively and quickly troubleshoot issues with reporting pipelines to ensure overall data integrity and accuracy of reports.

Technical skills:

• Degree qualified in either of the areas of Commerce, Data Analytics, Data Science, Economics or Finance
• Demonstrated a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Excel, specifically, working knowledge of VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS and INDEX MATCH
• Demonstrated a minimum of 3 years’ data visualization experience with Microsoft PowerBI (preferred) or other visualization tools (Qlik, Tableau)
• Demonstrated a minimum of 3 years’ ETL and data preparation experience with SQL (SSMS/SSIS), PowerQuery / PowerPivot or Alteryx (desirable)
• Experience working with relational databases and data warehouses (SQL Server, BigQuery , AWS Redshift)
• Working knowledge of SQL (joins, unions, tables), query development and database table validation checks (verifying record counts and values for consistency with data source)

• Experience working with data from ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) as well as Plant Maintenance / Asset Management systems (Ellipse, Maximo, AMT)
• Experience with Finance and Accounting reconciliations (desirable), preferably within an ERP

This role is Brisbane based, however Melbourne based or Work From Home is also on offer.

Part-time hours: 38 per week

Salary: $450.00 – $550.00 per day
