Voyagaire Lodge and Houseboats Hiring for Line Cook at Crane Lake, Minnesota Full Time

Crane Lake, Minnesota is the gateway to Voyageurs National Park.  Located four hours north of the Twin Cities, the small community is a short boat ride away from the United States/ Canadian border.  The National Park is over 218,000 acres and is dominated by pristine waterways, granite cliffs, and soaring pine forests.  Outdoor enthusiasts, solitude seekers, and everyone in-between converge in Crane Lake with one thing in mind – Explore.

Voyagaire Lodge & Houseboats is a one-stop hospitality experience. In addition to a full-service restaurant and bar, Voyagaire boasts 15 lodge rooms and 35 houseboat rentals.  The restaurant features a large waterfront deck that overlooks a small beach and beautiful Crane Lake. We strive to be a cut above the rest.

Wages for this Cook position are $17-$20/hour dependent on experience. The line cook will be able to work the line at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will be expected to be able to work as a team as well as independently. This position requires organization, ability to keep work area clean and up to sanitization standards, knife skills, prep skills, and 2+ years of restaurant level cooking experience desired.  

Free on-site housing is available for the right candidate. Apartment/Dormitory style housing consists of shared rooms and communal bathrooms. There are no kitchen facilities in the “crew quarters.” Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided from the same kitchen that prepares meals for our guests. $150.00 is taken out per bi-weekly paycheck. 

Employees of the lodge can also enjoy complimentary use of our canoes, kayaks, and small motorboats as availability allows.
