VOSS Automotive, a leading global supplier to on-highway and off-road OEM’s in the design and manufacture of Diesel Exhaust Fluid Lines, Coolant Lines, Air Suspension Lines and Fittings, Fuel Lines and Fittings and Quick Connect and Accessories, is expanding its workforce and has the following new position open at its North American Headquarters. This Quality Technician will support the Quality Department by performing the following duties:
Job Duties
- Determines quality and reliability standards by studying drawings and formulas; verifying specifications with engineering staff.
- Identifies raw material condition by collecting materials samples; conducting inspections and physical tests of materials.
- Identifies in-process product condition by collecting samples during production process; conducting in-process inspections and physical tests.
- Determines disposition of finished product by collecting, classifying, analyzing, and interpreting production and quality data; judging product acceptability in comparison to specifications.
- Determines acceptability of rework by conducting inspections and physical tests of reworked product.
- Documents finished product status by recording and summarizing raw materials, in-process, and finished-product inspection and physical test data; updating quality assurance database.
- Maintains product quality documentation system by writing or rewriting quality assurance procedures.
- Maintains quality assurance operations by following quality assurance policies and procedures; ing needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Contributes to the achievement of quality/management objectives by ensuring that company policies, procedures, and processes are followed.
- Follow all Quality Management System requirements in compliance with ISO 9001 and, when applicable to support VOSS Automotive Mexico, ISO/TS 16949. Employees will also follow, as applicable, the Environmental Management System ISO 14001.
- Participate in plant recycling programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associates’ degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years’ direct work experience as a quality technician (or equivalent).
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
