VOSS Automotive, a leading global supplier to on-highway and off-road OEM’s in the design and manufacture of Diesel Exhaust Fluid Lines, Coolant Lines, Air Suspension Lines and Fittings, Fuel Lines and Fittings and Quick Connect and Accessories, is expanding its workforce and has the following new position open at its North American Headquarters.

s to: Purchasing Manager

This Buyer will support the Purchasing Department by performing the following duties:

Job Duties:

• Responsible for identifying and obtaining products and services from suppliers at the best value (cost, delivery, quantity, quality, and technical performance).
• Procure materials and services from both international and domestic suppliers.
• Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to suppliers.
• Identify and select vendor to procure requisitioned material, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, and delivery date and places purchase orders.
• Evaluate supplier pricing to determine best value to the company and conduct negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost reductions.
• Study emerging market trends and evaluate new sources of supply.
• Assure that the acquisition of all goods or services will meet the requirements of the customer and ensure company policies are being strictly followed.
• Track and maintain proper levels of stocked inventory.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and address issues with suppliers.
• Assist in the estimating of new projects for customer proposals.
• Interfaces with all departments to resolve problems and issues.
• Initiate and implement process improvement and cost savings initiatives for department.
• Plan and issue purchase orders with internal Mexico production facility to ensure customer requirements are being met.
• Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by producing products to meet customer needs and expectations.
• Follow all Quality Management Systems, the Environmental Management Systems, and, when applicable, support VOSS Automotive Mexico in adhering to their systems as well.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS.); 3 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• The ability to organize and handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Ability to react to changes promptly and efficiently.
