Volvo Car Financial Services UK (VCFSUK) is the financial services provider to Volvo Cars, Polestar and LEVC in the UK. We have a new and exciting job opening within the Finance team as a Finance Assistant.

As our new Finance Assistant you’ll be responsible for assisting in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions.
What you’ll do
Reporting to the Finance Manager (FM) you will process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances and facilitating purchases. Perform routine calculations to produce analysis and reports as requested by the FM and help oversee and manage individual accounts. Key responsibilities include:

- Create, process and follow up on invoices
- Review and monitor departmental budgets
- Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
- Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensuring all calculations and data entries are correct
- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients
- Report any troubling discoveries or suspicion of wrongdoing to the FM
- Assist the FM in creating financial reports on a regular basis
- Answer questions and provide assistance to the Senior Management Team as needed
- Assist with financial reporting to Senior Management Team
- Setting up new accounts and managing customer relations
Do you fit the profile?
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a desire to work as efficiently as possible, and excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone who can manage multiple tasks at once, with excellent mathematical skills, strong attention to detail and who is able to use their initiative and work independently.
You should posses excellent Excel skills at an intermediate to advanced level.
Due to the nature of the role you should be part qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA) or an Accounting Technican. Experience of working within the motor finance industry or a regulated environment is highly desirable and you should be in commutable distance of the Maidenhead office.
