Volkswagen Hiring for Finance Controlling Analyst Job at Milton Keynes, England Full Time

Location: Milton Keynes with hybrid working, we work a 35 hour week with 1 day in the office

Great opportunity to be a key member of the Controlling Team and you will report into the Controlling Manager. You will be responsible for financial forecasting and planning, internal and shareholder reporting, cost centre control and budgeting

A key part of your role is to compile the monthly P&L, B/S and all other financial and non-data for VW Bank UK and VIS (Volkswagen Insurance Service), and gathering, analysing and validating UK forecast for submission to HQ in Germany

You will also have regular discussions with cost centre managers to communicate, understand and challenge key variances. This will enable you to monitor and control overhead expenditure

These are the skills and experience you can bring to the role:

• You may have an accounting degree or you are studying towards a ACCA/CIMA qualification
• You have experience of budgeting and forecasting in a fast-moving environment including the co-ordination of inputs from other business areas and challenging assumptions to ensure the input is robust and have made recommendations to improve business performance
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills and commercial awareness
• You will use Excel a lot so it’s essential you can work with large reports, and can create and understand links of large amounts of data between reports
• You can build great relationships and manage your stakeholders at all levels of seniority
• Your communication is clear, concise and engaging at all levels and you can confidently challenge and make recommendations regarding budgets
• You can work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and can work in a methodical and disciplined way with little supervision

Here is a little bit about what you will be doing:

• You will prepare and analyse monthly accounts for Bank Branch and VIS including P&L, B/S, Volumes, Portfolio Development, Equity Analysis, and other reporting as required
• You will develop Shareholder reporting and forecasting for the Bank Branch and VIS including the completion of the monthly CMIS files in line with reporting requirements of International Controlling in Germany
• You will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning and budgeting within the Bank Branch and VIS to assess the impact of significant variations from plan / budget on future profitability
• Compiling forecasts for the 5 year Annual Planning Round and all other forecasts during the year with specific responsibility for all Bank Branch and VIS
• You will complete all FLA reporting for monthly, quarterly and annual benchmarking analysis
• Reviewing, updating and publishing procedures for Controlling as appropriate
• You will manage the quarterly upload of total company overhead budgets into SAP FI
