VividCloud Hiring for Software Engineer Job at Brunswick, ME Full Time

Based in Brunswick, Maine, VividCloud is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer. This role is open to candidates only in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Analyzing new requirements
• With support from the solution architect, design and implement technical solutions
• Understand and augment the system and application architecture as needed
• Research and validate new solutions, including authoring of sample code to solve the customer’s technical obstacles
• Continuous integration and deployment of code
• Oversee and participate in the code review process
• Remove impediments identified by the development team
• Acts as safeguard for the team, shielding from outside distractions and interferences
• Conflict resolution, focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect
• Forecasting/estimation of sprint deliverables based on evidence and reliable source
• Mentor team on Agile practices, processes and tools
• Manage cross scrum team communications

Technical Skills:

• Hands on development of web, and/or server technologies using a combination of languages, including Python, Django, React, HTML5, CSS
• Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications
• Experience with Amazon AWS platform
• Experience with Microservices and containers
• Experience with Relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Git or other similar version control systems
• Ability to set up continuous integration, static analysis tools and code coverage tools
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/CE/IT or similar related discipline with 8+ years of experience

Leadership Skills:

• Should be passionate about coding and able to mentor junior team members
• Experience performing code reviews and driving quality through peer-to-peer analysis of code
• Experience in handling or managing customer interactions and deliverables
• Excellent communication, collaboration, problem solving, and facilitation skills
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
