Position Description:
We are building Vitrum for the long-term, and as we have expanded our manufacturing footprint, we need to ensure we lock-in gains while we seek ways to get better, all the time. We’re looking for a Continuous Improvement / 5S Coordinator to join our team!

Duties include:
Use a hands-on approach to deploy sustainable 5S in our manufacturing facilities in Langley and Calgary, as part of a dedicated Continuous Improvement team

Lead and facilitate training in Lean and 5S training in our organization

Audit 5S and process compliance as part of Plan-Do-Check-Act

Contribute expertise to continuous improvement projects

Analyze data and processes to quantify gaps/opportunities to make appropriate recommendations to drive process improvement

Identify new opportunities and provide recommendations to make Vitrum even better every day

Develop and implement tactics to reduce production downtime

Support manufacturing issue resolution through application of sound problem solving methodologies

Knowledge & Skills:
An intermediate knowledge of Lean gleaned from hands-on experience and formal training

Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with minimal supervision

Strong written, verbal communications in English

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity

Good computer skills including MS Office – with above average Excel skills

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and keep organized

Able to take direction and follow through completion

Effective presentation and teaching skills and the ability to persuade staff to embrace change

Qualifications:
3-5 Years of Manufacturing experience

Lean/Six Sigma Training

Kaizen training and experience in projects
