Created by a team of proven FinTech entrepreneurs in 2016, Vitesse PSP is an FCA regulated payments business that provides global payment services to a range of businesses. Vitesse operates one of the largest domestic banking and payment networks in the world, giving its customers direct access to more than 100 countries’ domestic payment networks, covering over 60 currencies. Through a single integration, merchants gain access to in-country payment routing, resulting in significantly lower payment costs and much faster delivery. To date, the company has processed over £3bn across more than 3 million transactions.

Vitesse is increasingly focused on serving customers in the insurance market, provider insurers with improved liquidity management and faster claims settlement.

Of these segments, Insurance is the largest in revenue terms and also the fastest growing largely as a result of success in the Lloyds of London market, where Vitesse has established itself as the market leader.

With cross-border B2B exports expected to increase to $21T (USD) by 2023, the market opportunity is significant and Vitesse has aggressive growth plans which include establishing a presence in the US market.

ABOUT THE TEAM

We have changed the face of local collections with Envoy Services (acquired by Worldpay in 2011) and we have a clear vision of how to reshape the payments industry, based on decades of industry experience.

We currently employ over 60 people and have offices in London and Rotterdam.

YOUR MISSION

Our ongoing success means we are looking to hire a Software Engineer to join a friendly team of 12 talented technicians who collaborate to deliver our cutting-edge financial payments products. Merchants access our products by way of various websites and web service REST API’s developed in-house. We also integrate with a diverse range of financial providers and services, spanning dozens of jurisdictions. The successful developer will join this team to deliver further payments, treasury and foreign exchange products, integrate with further services, and implement new innovative technologies, as well as potentially being involved with Devops and IaaS scripted deployments, if appropriate.

Our current Development team is split between London and the North-West, although we welcome candidates from anywhere in the UK. We mainly work from home, but meet in the London office every fortnight for two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) for elevated collaboration and social time. You would be required to attend the office on this basis and for any ad-hoc days if required (these are rare).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with team members and stakeholders to analyse and refine requirements
• Design, code, unit test and debug .NET (Framework and Core) applications
• Write clean, testable code using C#
• Assist QA to implement and define acceptance tests
• Assist with architectural tasks such as performance testing & tuning
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Adhere to coding standards, technology best practices, and procedures
• Support day to day system operational tasks

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

The following are ideal requirements and experience for the position – we don’t expect you to have all of these, but the more the better.

• 5+ years’ development experience with .NET & ASP.NET MVC (Framework and/or Core)
• Agile methods and working practices
• Microsoft Azure
• SQL Server
• Visual Studio
• Azure DevOps
• PowerShell
• CI/CD (we use Azure DevOps, AppVeyor and Octopus deploy)
• SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI
