Vital Industries, located in Rhinelander, WI, is experiencing exciting growth and seeking a Marketing Manager to join our team. Vital Industries oversees multiple brands, but at our core we are a small screen printing studio that prints our own designs on apparel, glassware, and home goods for wholesale and retail markets. Vital Custom provides customers within the local market with custom screen printed, embroidered and promotional goods. Vital Supply is our retail space featuring lifestyle goods that complement our brand focusing on sustainability and quality construction.

As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our Brands in the community and overseeing our marketing and event calendars. This role contributes to developing and implementing projects across multiple business functions, with responsibilities that include advertising campaigns, PR, social media, website content, photo and video shoots, and merchandising to improve brand engagement, preference, and sell-through. It’s not enough to have good ideas. Our Marketing Manager will need to take responsibility for executing those ideas. This position interacts with the public and business partners, as well as the Vital Executive Team and Sales, Production, and Shipping Teams internally.

Key elements of this multifunctional position are:

• Devise marketing plans and long-term strategies for the Vital brands that will create a positive and identifiable image, ensure strong brand presence, and increase brand awareness.
• Assisting with product development and new product launches as well as developing new business opportunities
• Researches and monitors the competition and media activity, identifies and studies market trends, and focuses on customers’ and potential customers’ preferences.
• Evaluating how the brand can appear to a wider consumer base
• Maintain open, efficient communication between various departments on new and existing product development and web marketing
• Represent Vital Industries Industries both virtually & in-person at community events, industry trade shows, and on the sales floor
• Lead all Vital Events, Community Events, Trade Shows, and Promotional ExecutionIncludes event checklists, event ROI/budget tracking, recaps, walkthroughs, planning meetings, scheduling, event emails, packing for each event, social media, and promo collateral.

Support the Vital Team with event attendance coordination, community outreach promotions/events and employee activities

• Creates and develops a monthly marketing plan and campaign to facilitate brand growth which includes new product launches, online, local, and wholesale marketing campaigns for all brands within Vital Industries

Day-to-day duties include:

• Overseeing social media accounts and ensure brand consistency
• Planning and execution of marketing actions on all channels, including online and social media
• Manage designs and layouts for print and digital marketing material that are consistent with brand guidelines
• Developing the customer experience and promotional collateral to meet customer needs and convey the brand message.
• Assist in writing copy for product listings, blog posts, and marketing collateral
• Contributes to the development and execution of promotional activities, including wholesale trade shows.
• Serve as the brand manager for social media including:Lead weekly social media meetings and all marketing and promotional posts

Maintain social media calendar
Follow Brand Guidelines and maintain quality assurance across all social media platforms
Follow social trends and adopting for our brand initiatives and activations

• Maintain product listing on company website and social media presence.
• Support the sales team by developing marketing and sales materials, as well as retailer sales support materials.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business marketing practices
• In-depth understanding of the company’s current products and future concepts
• A willingness to listen and execute ideas from verbal instructions
• Self Directed and able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Strong customer service values and consumer empathy
• Shows ability and confidence to take ideas from concepts, through final application, and execution
• Proficient in Adobe suite software.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

• 3-5 years experience in marketing (or similar field, ie. Sales, Communications, Retail, or Business)
• Background in consumer product marketing
• Portfolio and links to professional social media accounts demonstrating ability to stay on brand with messaging.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
