The opportunity:

Visy is a clear market leader in plastics packaging manufacturing in Australasia offering a range of plastic packaging solutions across a range of industries.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, and a dotted line to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of financial and management reporting for our site in Heathwood.

As the finance and accounting subject matter expert on site, you will work closely with the plant manager and plant team to support them with anything from reconciliations to budgeting and forecasting, as well as supporting continuous improvement projects across the business.

The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• To manage and report on the financial activities of Plastics manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate policies.
• To ensure smooth and efficient running of the Finance function. To manage, plan and report on all the financial activities for the assigned operation.
• To ensure all internal controls are adhered to. Timely & accurate reporting of all key deliverables and escalation/early warning of potential issues.
• Acting as a business partner and key support to the PET Business Unit Finance Manager, in ensuring key business drivers are accurately measured and met.
• Being key interface between Plants and Head Office to ensure key stakeholder requirements are met.

What you will bring to the team:

• Tertiary Qualified in Accountancy/ Commerce
• Preferable CA or CPA qualified
• Minimum 5 years+ experience working in finance & accounting roles
• Excellent computer literacy – MS Office suite & exposure to SAP & Hyperion an advantage
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment an advantage
• You will be a highly motivated, service and results orientated professional
