Vistra is searching for an HR Generalist. The Generalist will handle recruiting & onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, project-based work, and annual HR processes. This role will support the United States, Canada, Cayman & British Virgin Islands. Experience outside of the US is not required.
The position is currently remote with the option of working in the office as desired or as business requires. As we reopen our offices you will be expected to be in office 1-2 days a week. The ideal candidate would have an interest in traveling to assigned and partner countries (Cayman, Canada, UK, etc.) as needed.
A key priority in 2022 will be working to transition back-end work to the HR Shared Service Center (HRSSC). This will result in 80% of administrative responsibilities being removed from the below job description and the role will take on more strategic and project-based work.
Key Responsibilities:
· Source and screen top talent to aid in filling open requisitions. (20-30% of role)
· Acts as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries from employees, managers, and the like
· Conduct new hire orientations, enter benefit enrollments, track new hire benefits to completion, and process I9s
· Manages the 30/60/90 process for new hires
· Conduct stay and exit interviews
· Coordinates PSPs and keeps HRBP updated on progress, escalating as needed.
· Compile semi-monthly payroll changes for submission to Payroll.
· Maintain HR systems and employee data, ensure hires are entered accurately, and audits system data focused on data integrity.
· Completes annual filings such as EEO-1 and OSHA reporting requirements
· Manages employee leave of absence, ensuring company compliance in all states/countries we employ in.
· Handles lower-level ER matters
· Review, audit, and submit benefit invoices to AP. Act as a point of contact for AP on HR billing inquiries
· Sits on the employee social committee as HR rep, providing updates on initiatives and gaining cost approval from HRBP.
· Submit offers in HRIS, work with HR Shared Service Center (HRSSC) colleagues for new hire onboarding paperwork and background processes
· First point of contact for annual HR calendar processes including performance management, compensation reviews, and objective setting.
· Support open enrollment process
· Leads employee engagement initiatives and internal communications focused on increasing employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.

Experience Required:
· 2+ years in an HR Generalist, Assitant or Coordinator role
· Demonstrated understanding of US employment laws and a willingness to learn cross-border laws and grow understanding of assigned locations
· 1+ years’ experience in sourcing and screening candidates
· A strong passion for recruiting is required as the role will spend 20-30% of time recruiting
· Willing and able to attend occasional early morning meetings (7am) to collaborate with our global colleagues
· Demonstrated experience being a team player and being self-motivated
