The Opportunity

Our customer delivery team is at the coalface, connected through the Visory platform they work directly with business owners to deliver high quality bookkeeping, accounts payable, payroll and reporting services. As a Senior Bookkeeper you’ll manage a portfolio of customers, likely made up of a diverse group of SME’s who are in need of financial expertise. Some of these customers will need our help to tidy things up, others are looking for a stable set of hands and others are looking for scalable solution to support their growth, however all have one thing in common – they want to improve and streamline their financial back-office.

Although you’ll manage a portfolio, we take a team approach to servicing our customers that will see you working with other talented bookkeepers to deliver high quality outcomes. We believe in a community of experts is better than one.

We are looking for Senior Bookkeepers or finance guru’s that are obsessed with technology and improving process, who love solving complex problems and implementing efficient solutions. We are looking for lateral thinkers who can navigate the intricacies of different industry verticals and use first principles thinking.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver back-office finance services: You’ll manage a portfolio of external customers from pre-revenue through to +$50m in annual turnover, providing end to end bookkeeping services, including payables, receivables, and payroll
• Deliver insights: You’ll provide customers with reporting and insights that help them make informed business decisions
• Lead process improvement: You’ll lead the process improvement for new customers, helping to establish best practice and high levels of automation during the first 3 months of our engagement
• Problem solve: You’ll help solve the problems of customers and Visory alike. You’ll use your expertise to help business owners navigate challenges, but you’ll also help Visory build scalable and efficient processes
• Mentor: You’ll provide advice and support to those around you, so they too succeed.

Role Requirements:

• Passionate about Bookkeeping and obsessed with helping businesses grow
• A lateral thinker who can apply first principles thinking to work with customers to improve processes and outcomes
• Expertise in cloud accounting software and adjacent back-office technology with an understanding of automation
• Extensive experience in Bookkeeping and or finance, from reconciliation to preparing complex reports
• Experience working with complex businesses across multiple entities and or industry verticals
• Comfortable working remotely and using online messaging and video conferencing to engage with customers and team members.
