As a Graduate Software Engineer within CyberSource you will be a contributor to the build and enhancement of key applications within CyberSource’s Enterprise platform. This role isn’t just about cutting code. We are looking for an individual who can appreciates and understands software at a holistic level and keen to expand your knowledge so you can contribute to the design and start to influence the technical direction of our product set.

As a Software Engineer with CyberSource you will:

• Utilise your sharp analytical skills as part of a team to create applications at a massive internet scale which are used by millions of people across the globe
• Accelerate your knowledge of architecture, engineering principles and design patterns
• Be an adept problem solver who applies both innovation and logic to tackle complex problems
• Be a designer as well as a fast, efficient coder who is capable of making coding and design decisions in a complex environment
• Be motivated by building elegant and maintainable systems that get the job done with minimal complexity
• Exert your passion and forward thinking to influence the technical direction of our products and services
• Embrace our penchant for building highly scalable, highly reliable and highly secure applications the right way
• Be the eager to adopt engineering best practice across the development lifecycle and be a willing participant in continuous improvement across within the Centre
• Be an evangelist for Test-Driven Development and Continuous Deployment

Our ideal candidate will:

• Have a strong academic record, expecting to receive a 2:1 or above in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field
• Possess strong computer science credentials as well as a track record of building quality services
• Be a continuous learner who is pro-active in their drive to improve their technical skill and knowledge
• Be equally passionate about technology and solving large-scale complex business problems
• Be an established self-starter who possesses a relentless drive to initiate change, raise the technical bar
• Have good knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Clear, professional communication skills able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a highly iterative, agile and collaborative team environment

Our start dates are flexible so we would be interested to hear from final year Bachelor’s or Master’s students who are graduating in 2022 and recent graduates.
