What’s it all about?

Responsible for implementing Visa’s risk management programs, ensuring risks are identified, understood, managed and monitored in a manner that minimizes the risk to the company and supports the delivery of its strategic objectives.

What we expect of you, day to day.

• Implement Visa’s Risk Management and Risk Appetite frameworks through:
  • Collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation to identify, mitigate and monitor risks
  • Performance of deep dive and other risk assessments
  • Review and constructively challenge business functions on their risk identification and management approach
  • Liaison with centers of excellence on specialised risk programs, e.g. Supplier Risk Management, Credit Settlement Risk, New Business Initiative assessments, Risk and Control self-assessments
• Monitor key risk indicators to identify adverse trends and initiate remediation activity
• Monitor completion of identified risk mitigation strategies or closure of gaps
• Maintain comprehensive inventory of risks, mitigating action plans and controls across the organization
• Prepare reports, memos and updates to Senior Management and Governance Committees, both locally and globally
• Support the development of a reporting system solution to provide real time visibility into regional, functional & strategic initiative risk assessments
• Facilitate risk management workshops
• Deliver training sessions and embed Visa’s Risk Management culture
• Oversee adoption and update of Policies, liaise with Compliance testing teams and perform ad-hoc control testing on key processes

• Educated to degree level or hold equivalent professional experience in Accounting, Finance or Business
• 4+ years risk or related experience preferred
• Knowledge, skill and understanding in applying risk management practices specifically as it relates to ERM (assessment, scoring, tolerance, mitigation/management)
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and facilitation skills, plus ability to work independently and effectively in a continually changing environment
• Clear thinker with strong technical and data analysis skills, plus solid business acumen, management, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to develop strong relationships and work with all organizational levels
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
• Capability to recognize and understand root causes, patterns, or trends across a broad spectrum of activity that could result in risk to the organization
• Analytical and reasoning skills: Experience with risk identification, assessment, and mitigation of material risks, while assisting risk owners (1st line of defence) with development of controls and mitigation plans
• Ability to quickly understand complex and fast-moving topics and identify key points and go forward plans with limited information
• Data mining & data management skills: experience with capturing data to provide meaningful insights to business stakeholders on the evolving risk profile
