We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator on 1st Shift in Ayer, MA. This position is for our manufacturing / distribution client that deals with high volume shipments in Ayer, MA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Build orders into shipments, select a carrier, and issue freight tender agreements.
• Utilize available resources to locate creative, cost-effective, and service-driven ways for moving shipments.
• Engage in regular communication with partner carriers and internal / external customers.
• Distribute well-balanced shipping / receiving schedules
• Address errors to promote customer satisfaction
• Monitor carrier compliance to company expectations and policies
• Field revisions or general inquiries for orders and ensure that the necessary parties are updated.
• Apply tracking tools to identify service delays proactively and collaborate with partners to find a resolution.
• Provide Customer Service and Sales with competitive freight rates using company-issued tools.
• Field carrier OS&D inquiries and initiate an internal investigation
• Conduct freight-bill auditing to ensure accuracy

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of two years in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse environment
• Strong customer service capabilities
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent organizational capacity
• Capacity to multi-task
• Ability to use data in making logistics more efficient
• Able to accept and adapt to using new technology
