Village Babies Development Center (“VBDC”), LLC, is an early childhood development center that supports age-appropriate development and implements intentional teaching from infancy to five years of age through play and meaningful learning. VBDC

VBDC is seeking an enthusiastic and well-rounded individual with proven leadership skills who want to impact early childhood education by supporting the children, families, teachers, and administrative team. You must have at least three years of managerial experience to quality. You must have the innate ability to be autonomous, flexible, fully support the center’s mission, and have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Center Director in ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care. Under the direction of the Center Director, the Assistant Director collaborates with staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities are correctly delivered and that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately.
Duties
Assume duties of Center Director and Teachers as needed during their absence.
Collaborate with staff to ensure adherence to quality standards in accordance with Center guidelines and state and local requirements; implement improvements where needed.
Support teachers by completing classroom observations, evaluating teacher and classroom needs, and communicating with parents.
Introduce and implement intentional and meaningful programs and resources for the betterment of everyone.
Maintain communication with families and the community through appropriate outreach activities.
Maintain full knowledge of State Licensing Regulations as well as implement and follow all center policies and state regulations.
Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
3 – 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred.
High energy.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
A strong understanding of child development.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
Must clear full background check.
Must pass a health screening.
