Videri Hiring for Back End Developer at Montréal, QC Full Time

Videri is the first digital transformation platform of its kind and is reinventing the digital signage world as we know it. Through an innovate combination of software, hardware, and product vision, we are changing how the world views digital marketing, digital communications and digital out of home (DOOH).

We are seeking a Back-End Developer to join our team! Working with the software development team, the Backend Developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining the backend of our cloud-based infrastructure. The Backend Developer will be tasked with developing and implementing APIs and microservices, guiding front-end integration and reviewing product requirements in collaboration with Front End Developers and UX/UI Designers. This is a full-time position.

What you’ll do:
Design, develop and maintain cutting edge new backend technology using Agile and TDD methodology

Analyze and troubleshoot code, correct errors as required

Develop unit, regression and integration testing

Contribute to global Architecture and system design

Work with the product management team to help define new product features

Collaborate with project team in the execution of projects to achieve quality customer experiences

Provide engineering support to operations as required

Follow industry standard applications development techniques and practices

Create accompanying documentation to software code

Participate in development meetings and provide status reports

What you have:
Demonstrable work experience as Backend Developer

Experience with Ruby on Rails is required

Experience with Golang, Python, NodeJS

Experience with a frontend framework like Angular JS or EmberJS is a plus

Experience with Docker / K8s and CD/CI toolchains as well as familiarity with DevOps

Experience with SQL, NonSQL and Graph databases

Experience with cloud services/providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Experience with vertical and horizontal scalability

Experience with high resiliency / high availability

Experience with Microservice Architecture

Experience with Monolithical Architecture

Strong team spirit, flexibility, problem solving and time management skills

Computer Science degree or relevant diploma
