Job location

Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria.

Forensicare is situated across five sites across Victoria with its largest site being Thomas Embling Hospital,?located in Fairfield?just 15 minutes north of the Melbourne city centre.?Thomas Embling Hospital is a 136-bed secure hospital providing acute care, rehabilitation and continuing care programs. It includes a dedicated women’s unit.

About the Role:

• End to end functions of accounts payable
• Vendor set-up, weekly payment runs, prompt response to stakeholder and vendor queries
• Provide support to the Trust Accounting and Accounts Receivable functions

Duties:

• Assist with peparation of month end close processes and becme a super user of the accounts payable system
• Administration of and account for emplolyee expenses
• Management of vendor payments, ensuring vendors are virified and accurately set-up within the GL system
• Provide suggestions for the streamlining of the accounts payable processes and systems
• Account for patient payments and receiptis into trust accounts
• Engage constructively and share information with colleagues to support delivery
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and stakeholders, with a customer service mentality

About You:

• Relevant work experience in a Health care setting is highly desirable and deminstrated skills and experience as a Finance Officer
• Sound understanding of accounting principles including up to date knowledge of GST requirements
• Demonstrated ability to acheive high level accuracy
• A team player and proven ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
• Sound knowledge and skills in computer application including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel & Word
• Demonstrated ability to carry out and deliver results against the key responsibility and activities of the position
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Financial Management Act 1994
