HEP 7 $88,890 – $96,220 per annum plus superannuation. These are full time (36.75 hours per week) positions located at various campuses.

About the role

The overall purpose of the Team Leader, Student Advising is to lead a team of Course and Unit Advisors (CUAs), Student Advisors and casual Student Advisor Assistants to drive service improvement for students, build staff capability within VUHQ and build and maintain the relationship between Student Services, Colleges, Student Adminstration and other stakeholders to enable exceptional support to students. This position will lead Student Advisory teams for the Health, Sport and Active Living cluster which includes the College of Health and Biomedicine and College of Sport and Exercise Science.

You will have a good understanding of the student life cycle and a demonstrated ability to lead a team to resolve enquiries and complaints in a timely and effective manner. This highly challenging role requires a flexible, solutions focussed individual who is able to adapt rapidly and effectively to change.

Duties

An example of duties you may perform will include:

• Identify service improvement initiatives.
• Provide leadership and daily direction to a team of Course and Unit Advisors (CUA’s), Student Advisors (SA’s) and casual Student Advisor Assistants (SAAs), effectively managing the work flow of advisory and administrative work within the team.
• Work in collaboration with Manager Service Centres and Student Advisory, other Team Leaders, College Managers and Training and Quality Officer to ensure a seamless and consistent student advising and support service across the College Cluster.
• Respond to complex student enquiries and complaints referred from cluster advising staff using a case management approach, in all areas of student experience
