About the role:
As a successful applicant, you will be an integral team member within the Financial Accounting and Compliance Branch in the Financial Services Department. The Branch has primary responsibility for producing Victoria Police’s Annual Financial Statements and ensuring the quality, accuracy and completeness of the financial information disclosed therein. It also manages the monthly reporting, Asset management, trust accounting, cash management and has carriage of Corporate governance, taxation, and insurance.
The Finance Officer will work primarily in the Corporate Reporting and Assets Unit working closely with stakeholders both internally within the Financial Services Department and across Victoria Police in addition to external government departments and auditors.
The Finance Officer will support the delivery of providing high-quality accounting and financial services across the organisation. The primary focus is on general and asset accounting, analytical variance analysis including support to the preparation of monthly/annual financial reporting.
You will require excellent time management and proven business writing abilities.
This role reports directly to a Corporate Reporting and Assets Unit Manager.
