About the role:

The Finance Administrator is responsible for the delivery of accounts payable functions on behalf of Victoria Police.

More broadly, the role contributes to the Financial Services Department’s remit of:

• Undertake a range of Accounts Payable transactional activities in accordance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Provide quality, timely service and support to clients both internal and external on invoice related matters.
• Provide a high level of customer service and assist internal and external clients using own judgment and knowledge to solve service delivery problems

Your duties will include:

• Undertake a range of transactional activities using ORACLE Finance & ProcessIT softwa
• Processing invoices
• Invoice batches
• General accounts queries from both internal and external stakeholders

As the successful applicant, you will have:

• Good communication skills and ability to function as a team member in a diverse accounting environment.
• Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction, and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and the Department
• Demonstrated capacity to plan and prioritise work to ensure outcomes are achieved
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including complex supplier reconciliations

Requirements and relevant information:

• One (1) full-time, fixed term position available until 31/12/2022.
• This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
• Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
• In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer’s Direction – COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated (includign booster vaccination) and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
