Victaulic Hiring for Intermediate Piping Designer Full Time

Job summary

This role is responsible for Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) projects as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with quoting, estimating and presentation of quotes to clients in conjunction with the VDC and sales team
• Liaise with contractors and clients, conduct project review, kick-off meetings, and other job control functions.
• Utilize engineers’ drawings to produce constructible 3D BIM models
• Prepare pad and equipment, piping layout, isometric and spool sheet drawings with complete BOM’s (bill-of-materials) from customer furnished drawings and vendor data in AutoPlant/Revit MEP/AutoCAD-MEP design modelling software as required.
• Perform checking functions of drawings and bill of materials with supervision
• Travel to jobsites to obtain accurate field measurements and interact with customers and Victaulic salespeople as required.
• Participate in management of project life cycle.
• needs and deficiencies of any job problems to supervising project coordinator

Education and Skill Requirement:

• Minimum 2-3 years drafting/engineering experience considered an asset, however not required
• Diploma in Engineering Technology preferably MechanicalAutoPlant/Revit MEP/AutoCAD-MEP preferable along with Intermediate computer proficiency
• Background in Power or Petro Chem. and/or HVAC/Municipal Piping
• Project Management skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer skills required
