Building positive relationships throughout the organization is imperative to success in this position.
This position is a full lifecycle Recruiter and Talent Acquisition Partner to the business with the key objective to meet headcount goals and implement recruitment strategies for aligned business units. Your ability to identify and work with the highest quality candidates and guide hiring teams and candidates through the selection and interview process is a key indicator of success in the position.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Thorough and efficient capturing of candidate information and documentation within Viasat’s ATS.
- Strategic sourcing efforts using the in-house ATS and external sources to include LinkedIn and job boards.
- Using innovative sourcing methods to build talent pools.
- Building strong relationships with candidates of interest to Viasat.
- Providing regular recruitment status metrics to all pertinent stakeholders in a proactive manner.
- An ability to build relationships with key partners, hiring managers, and the wider TA and People and Culture teams.
- Providing cross-functional recruiting coverage, as needed.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in Talent Acquisition, with responsibilities as outlined above, hiring for technical / engineering roles.
- Strong foundational knowledge of full lifecycle recruiting components including sourcing, qualifying, and offer recommendations
- Detailed understanding of pay and compensation to include superannuation and TFR.
- Experience working with all levels of candidates.
- Demonstrable ability to strategically prioritize activities.
- Ability to organize daily tasks and activities to stay on top of pressing needs.
Preferences
- Prior experience supporting recruitment for both Australian domestic and international roles
- Agency experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
