What you’ll do

Viasat’s Advanced Networks Cybersecurity Solutions segment is responsible for developing networking and cybersecurity products and services for a diverse customer base that includes commercial, government and Department of Defense.

This includes designing and implementing sophisticated networking technologies and protocols, as well as deploying them in both real-world and virtual environments.

As a member of ANCS, you will join a dedicated team of engineers to conceive, develop and launch new and valuable features that help protect and defend Viasat customers from cyber-attacks and make their networks more resilient in today’s constantly evolving threat environments.

The day-to-day

• Lead a small team of developers
• Integrate modern software with innovative embedded systems
• Automate workflows for development and test of critical components
• Identify and validate customer-centric requirements
• Collaborate with team members from across the U.S.

What you’ll need

• A minimum 5 years of professional experience using C++
• A minimum 3 years of professional experience with network programming
• A minimum 3 years of professional experience leading an Agile / Scrum Team
• Experience with any Linux operating system
• In-depth knowledge of build environments for embedded software
• Government position, US Citizenship required
• Must be able to obtain US Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field

What will help you on the job

• Prior experience using Python
• Experience with embedded development and on-target debugging
• Familiarity with DevOps toolsets (i.e. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Travis CI, etc.)
• Knowledge of Enterprise Source Code Management (i.e. GitHub Enterprise, Perforce)

Salary range

$159,100.00 – $262,350.00 / annually
