Is this the role for you?
The HR Advisor role is a key role within the UK Business HR Team and is important for the day-to-day functioning of the HR department, taking an advisory role on best practices for recruitment and retention of staff as well as general HR services. The Business HR team is responsible for using data and insight to devise people solutions, which drive business performance. The successful candidate will partner with UK client groups undergoing significant change and transformation. They will deputise for the HRBP and lead and contribute to projects impacting the wider UK business.
What will you be doing?
Collaborate with people managers providing coaching and driving strategic talent priorities, employee engagement and organizational effectiveness
Proactively build people management capability across the client group to enable line managers to confidently and autonomously handle people issues
Confidentially and autonomously manage any change activity (structural, cultural or otherwise) across the client group
Provide support to the HRBP in relation to cyclical HR activities such as annual salary review, bonus programmes and benchmarking.
Confidently and independently advise and guide managers on a range of issues including complex investigations, disciplinary or grievance hearings, flexible working requests, absence and performance issues, Occ Health referrals
Work collaboratively with HR Communities of Excellence to provide ‘seamless’ people support and advice to the business as necessary including: Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Compensation & Benefits
Actively participate in ad hoc HR projects and initiatives as necessary
Build HR data, analyse trends and proactively recommend actions for designated client group
Help to embed the Viacom values throughout the employee lifecycle and act as a cultural ambassador, role-modelling Viacom’s values
What are we looking for?
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Good employment law knowledge and proven experience managing complex cases and restructures with minimum support
A strong team player and collaborator across the HR Communities of Excellence.
A passion for creating a great employee experience and enabling people to perform their best work!
Problem-solving attitude
Hands on experience working with HR systems, such as PeopleSoft.
