We are currently recruiting for an IT Helpdesk Officer to join the Business Support and Development (BSD) team on a full time permanent basis. The BSD team is growing and this is an exciting new role to support the team.

Reporting to the IT Systems and Security Administrator, the key responsibilities of this role is to support users and information systems to enable to achieve its business goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
Utilise IT skills to maximise the capabilities of other staff.
Record user requests for IT assistance and actions taken in the IT Help Desk system.
Perform Software and Hardware installations and support to projects.
Independently identify opportunities, weaknesses and faults and register in IT Help Desk system.
Provide support for end user desktop hardware and software for production systems and corporate IT systems.
Prioritise tasks and user support requests.
Undertake other activities as directed by the IT Systems and Security Administrator.

We are seeking someone who has:

Experience in a similar role which included Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and Computer hardware
Sound troubleshooting abilities
Planning and project management experience
Change management experience
Good communication skills
Researching and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
Keen to learn
Excellent problem solving and time management skills
Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas.
