Setting Out Engineer/Land Surveyor

Location – Southeast London

Day rate – £300-350 per day (Inside of IR35)

My client is looking for a Setting Out Engineer/Land Surveyor to come on board and join their team based in the Southeast London area. The ideal Setting Out Engineer/Land Surveyor will come onboard and carry out site surveys.

Setting Out Engineer/Land Surveyor Responsibilities:

• Process the As built site data
• Produce handover documents
• Work with onsite team of surveyors
• Briefing the survey work to staff and check on the deliverables
• Writing and communication skills with clients and staff
• Carry out site surveys as required
• Collect data on site and complete all required field sheets
• Update the Survey Manager with progress and any issues encountered
• Download and Post-Process all surveyed data
• Carry out appropriate quality control checks and issue data to CAD
• Check all survey drawings before they are issued to our customer

Requirements:

• Major infrastructure project experience (heavy civil project experience would be beneficial) 
• Worked in similar Surveyor positions (3 + years’ experience in these)
• Good working knowledge of Land Surveying using Total Stations and GPS systems
• Experience in topographical & engineering surveying
• As built experience
• Full UK driving license 
• Previously worked with a main contractor
• Confident communicator
• Ability to liaise with other professionals
• Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD software
• CSCS card
