Position: Warehouse person

Location: Troy, MO 63379

Duration: 2 Months

Pay rate: $19 /hr.

Shift: 1st Shift

Job Description:

· Responsible for the receipt and shipment of materials, supplies, and products. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures. Sorts, fills, packs, places, and arranges orders from warehouse stock, shelves, or bins according to written order.

· Assemble customer orders from stock, stage orders, and/or conveys orders to the packing station or shipping department. Checks orders for exactness and neatness. Efficiently moves and loads product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers.

· Performs picking duties in an efficient manner that meets both company and customer standards. Seals, weighs, transports, stacks, and labels parcels with appropriate identification labels.

· Handles and maintains the flow of materials and products in distribution areas according to established guidelines. May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment once necessary company training is completed. May regularly require the use of radio frequency devices and/or computer systems.

· Maintains company standards regarding safety and security Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Participates in all required safety training and constantly adheres to all rules and regulations given during courses.

· Complies with all warehouse Safety Rules, OSHA regulations, and SDS standards. Learning: Must demonstrate the ability to learn the necessary skills, knowledge, abilities, and behaviors for cross-training and job assignments in all departments.

Education/ Skills:

· Preferred High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

· Ability to follow standardized procedures and verbal, and written instructions. Must be able to read and write in English, count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly.

· Must be able to work in a team environment and work with minimum supervision Must be dependable and maintain a good attendance record Must be able to work overtime when business needs require. Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.

· Must be able to lift/push/carry up to 50 lbs. frequently, which may include overhead.

· Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold). Must be able to work from variable heights while wearing a safety harness while working in a position that requires the use of equipment operation.
