We achieve this through supportive, educational teleconsulting and teleradiology and by developing and implementing novel educational strategies for veterinary medicine. The Role

VetCT are excited to be able to advertise for a new role as Director of Educational Content to work within the Education department.

Education is a part of everything we do at VetCT and is viewed as an indispensable and continuous part of the veterinary profession. We create and provide educational content for students, technicians/nurses, veterinarians and residents. Education is at the heart of what we do.

This key role will focus on developing a vision for the future of veterinary medical education. The successful candidate will lead the creation of novel internal and external educational content while managing relationships with VetCT clients. This will include conducting educational content needs assessments and content development for university and corporate clients. Specifically this involves working with our external stakeholders to understand their educational needs and objectives and to provide leadership and strategy for the veterinary medical education of the future. Key Responsibilities

• Embrace the VetCT Mission and Vision
• Ensure that all educational content products are driven by and meet the VetCT Mission and Vision as well as our Core Values

• Demonstrate and implement a vision of veterinary medical education of the future

Relationship Management

• Collaborate with leaders of academic and corporate educational partners to create novel approaches to veterinary medical education

• Develop and maintain relationships with current and future academic and corporate educational partners

• Perform routine needs assessments for current and future educational partners

• Work with leaders of academic and educational partners to review and revise educational content in order to meet any continually evolving needs

• Generate proposals for potential academic partners, to include:

• Educational needs assessment

• Educational materials offered

• Budget (with CFO/CVEO)

• Timeline

• Work with Education Administrator to provide timely student feedback and grades within the parameters of the home institution

• Onboard and train instructors for synchronous-virtual environments

• Work with the operations team to be sure that resources are available when needed

Content Creation

• Oversee creation of content that is innovative and meets current and future standards of instruction and education

• Identify Key Opinion Leaders within and outside VetCT to create internal and external educational content

• Oversee and lead design, creation and/or modification VetCT educational content to meet partner needs, including, but not limited to:

• Syllabus design

• Course creation and reorganization

• Assessment design

• Lab discussions

• LMS integrations

• Synchronous and asynchronous instructional environments

• Work with the Education Administrator and Instructional Designer to maintain and organize the LMS and its content

Essential Requirements

• Veterinary industry background

• Experience in adult learning principles and current education paradigms

• Experience in creating and delivering veterinary educational content in an academic environment

• Knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous learning environments

Skills/Competencies

• Previous experience in creating and implementing a vision for the future

• Prior experience in teaching veterinary students, professionals and paraprofessionals

• Possess or attain an understanding of adult learning principles and the science of education

• Clear and effective communication

• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship development skills

• Efficient and timely

• Proven experience of planning and delivering multiple projects on time

• Exceptionally organized

Education

• DVM (or Equivalent)

• Additional qualifications in areas of education preferred
