Location: Bellerive

ROLE (PURPOSE): Provide accurate and detailed financial and administrative support to the Financial

Accountant and CFO, enabling the smooth delivery of financial support to all Veterinary Hospitals under the

management of Vetbiz.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (DO):
FINANCE

• Set up new employee payroll files and check for accuracy and completeness
• Accurate processing of all Tasmanian Veterinary Hospitals (TVH), North Hobart Veterinary Hospital

(NHVH), Huon Valley Veterinary Hospital (HVVH), and Vetbiz payroll requirements, including payroll

tax and monthly superannuation payments

• Process bank and credit card reconciliations
• Process supplier invoices for all hospitals ensuring correct general ledger allocation and cost centre

allocation within each entity

• Work with the practice managers to ensure all external charges are captured and charged

accordingly

• Assist with reporting as required

OTHER

• Undertake other duties within this level and range of responsibility as directed
• Adhere to Vetbiz policies and procedures
• Ensure strong and positive relationships with all Vetbiz and practice staff

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or related discipline, advantageous but not essential
• Experience with hourly rate payroll processing and Award interpretation
• Sound skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Xero and Employment Hero is desirable
• The successful applicant will require a satisfactory National Criminal History Check
