Full Charge Book Keeper
Description:

We are seeking a full charge book keeper for a disposable dinnerware manufacturer and importer. VerTerra Ltd. (www.verterra.com) makes compostable dinnerware for the food service and retail markets. This position requires knowledge and experience with QuickBooks, a strong accounting background, and good communication skills and a drive for accuracy. VerTerra is a fast growing company and the candidate should be a self starter, with good time management skills and able to work in a fast pace environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• A/P: Entry of all payables, reconciliation of vendor accounts, reviewing and paying bills.
• A/R: Daily preparation of customer statements, receipt and recording of payments, collection of past dues
• Banking: Preparation of deposits, reconciliation of accounts, payment of credit cards, monitoring of accounts for fraud
• Payroll: booking payroll, an outside full service company is utilized for filings and payments
• Inventory: reconciling inventory from quickbooks to warehouse, recording inbound inventory shipments when received
• Invoicing
• Generating financial reports as requested.
• Assisting with quarterly and annual tax filings
• Monthly close of financials
• Monitoring and negotiating vendor contracts
• Other duties as assigned

Ability to create cash flow projections and company wide projections is a plus.

Experience and Skills

• Accounting degree or equivalent experience in bookkeeping/accounting
• High proficiency in quickbooks
• Ability to complete work and manage tasks with minimal supervision
• Effective and personable in all forms of communication- written and verbal’
• Must know quickbooks inventory module and how to record inventory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
