About the role:

We are the internal recruitment team for a local, outdoors activities and education centre and are presenting an exciting new opportunity for a qualified Senior Sailing Instructor to join their dedicated and professional team.

As a Senior Instructor, you will work closely with the Chief Instructor and all Visitors to the centre to ensure they enjoy a high-quality and safe outdoor learning experience. You will plan and deliver a well thought out education programme involving a range of land and water-based adventurous activities.

Previous experience in a similar role is paramount to this role as is the passion for adventure and the outdoors!

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

To be successful, applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience of working in a water sports/activity centre environment
• Able to carry out risk assessments for activities involving children and members of the public
• Experience of delivering an education programme and activities preferably in an outdoor environment
• Knowledge and experience of centre and activity safety
• Experience of boat maintenance and inventories
• Flexibility with working hours
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Full Driving Licence

Qualifications Required:

• At least one of the following Instructor qualifications: RYA Dinghy Instructor, RYA Start Windsurfing Instructor, BC/UKCC Level 1 Canoe/Kayak Coach or Paddlesport Instructor.
• 2 NGB Instructor level qualifications including RYA Senior Instructor
• RYA First Aid/First Aid at Work
• BC/UKCC Level 2 qualification or equivalent
