VERO HR (www.verohr.co.uk) is a rapidly growing HR outsourcing business based in Peterborough providing its UK wide and international client base with a complete HR, Recruitment and Payroll service. Technology is key to how we engage with our clients, but our service delivery is based upon combining the benefits of tech with at the heart of what we do – the personal touch.

Due to the expansion of our client base, we are now looking for an HR Assistant to join our team where paper is almost a thing of the past. Everything completed digitally, scanned and held in the cloud!

About our opportunity

Based at our idyllic office location on the outskirts of Peterborough, working in a dynamic, “digital” environment, you will provide a generalist HR administration, data management and compliance service to retained clients operating across a diverse range of sectors both in the UK and internationally including…

• preparing and issuing digitally job offers and onboarding packs
• undertaking onboarding checks such as DBS and references
• updating our HR system
• issuing contractual change documentation
• managing the leaver process
• undertaking salary and benefits administration
• interfacing with our payroll team
• responding to adhoc administrative needs

What makes this role different, apart from providing the opportunity to get involved with a wide range of transactional HR tasks which have been digitalised, is the opportunity for those who have an interest in HR tech, to get involved in the configuration of our HR system at client level too, providing the opportunity to influence how our technology is configured to maximise process efficiency and the client experience.

What we are looking for

With a strong administrative skillset you will have:

• Ideally previous experience of working in an HR environment at an administrative level
• Strong Microsoft Word skills and other Microsoft office products
• Exceptionally strong attention to detail, accuracy and grammar
• A “can do”, customer service mindset
• A friendly, approachable and engaging personality
