Vermeer Texas-Louisiana Hiring for Talent Acquisition Specialist Full Time

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the full life cycle of talent acquisition including planning, sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring, and onboarding. Develops and maintains strong relationships with hiring managers, educational institutions, and professional organizations to attract and recruit top talent.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Manages and supports all phases of the recruitment process including planning, sourcing, screening, selecting, declining, hiring, and onboarding assistance.
• Collaborates with hiring manager to identify talent needs to write compelling job postings.
• Identifies and implements effective recruiting methods based on the role, geographical market, industry standards, and the needs of the company.
• Sources active and passive candidates using various recruitment tools and social media programs. Recommends new methods and sources to attract applicants.
• Serves as brand ambassador for careers marketing efforts, creating internal and external recruiting content to post on various social media platforms.
• Develops pipeline of viable applicants for future roles within the organization. Stays in contact with applicants and provides updates on roles that may be a fit.
• Responsible for increasing utilization of ATS system to help streamline processes. Ensures all applicants are receiving feedback about their application status.
• Develops and nurtures relationships with technical colleges, high school technical programs, and professional organizations to develop talent pipeline.
• Attends and participates in career fairs and recruiting sessions.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improving the overall candidate experience and engagement throughout hiring lifecycle.
• Facilitates talent planning and discussions to establish, measure, and monitor successes and opportunities to address potential issues.
• Maintains awareness of competitor practices, industry trends and recruitment standards.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
• 2 – 3 years’ experience as Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to successfully pass required background check and pre-employment drug testing.
• Up to 20% travel requires a valid driver’s license and ability to meet requirements of the Company Driver Policy; Company will review motor vehicle records annually for all employees for whom driving a motor vehicle is an essential job function or when employees must obtain and drive rental vehicles while conducting company business.
