Verilan are a B2B IT Solutions and Telecommunications company based in Leamington Spa, looking for an ambitious, forward thinking and technically minded IT Technician to support our ever growing customer base.

The role requires a can-do attitude and full ownership of service requests within an established support desk environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Experienced IT & Telecoms Technician is responsible for designing and implementing hardware, software, systems & networks.

The technician is also responsible for resolving complex support requests relating to hardware, software, and network systems.

They will be heavily involved in planning and designing client solutions.

Communicating with clients and colleagues, to determine the nature of issues and best remedial actions.

Provides research and support for new technologies applicable to our business and industry.
Diagnosing, reporting and prioritising fault reports within a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Job Function:

The primary function of the role is to deal with incoming tickets and telephone requests, actively scheduling and prioritising request by order of urgency and service level. There are other interesting elements that we will teach the successful candidate of which includes managing and developing our helpdesk platform, monitoring and auditing our client’s sites, scheduling software rollouts and designing and implementing hardware, software, systems & networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dealing with incoming tickets and telephone calls in a courteous manner verbally and electronically.
• Taking ownership of your allocated tickets and seeing them through to their logical life cycle to completion.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
• Act as a technical authority to our clients needs with the support of the senior helpdesk technicians.
• Develop and maintain your own helpdesk knowledge and skills to assist first time fault resolution (training will be provided to hone your future skills).
• Escalate tickets as required based on service levels, priority and or urgency
• Ensure that we deliver 100% client satisfaction.

Technical Skills Required:

• At least 2 years experience working on a service/help desk.
• 2 years experience working with Windows 10 / Office 2016 and above.
• Experience supporting Windows 10 and Office 365
• Knowledge of computer networks and connectivity (LAN/WAN/TCP), including wired and wireless support
• Good understanding of AV endpoints
• Good understanding of firewalls
• Ability to produce concise documentation and service notes
